Issue #1: Right A-pillar is too short.
Here's a picture showing the slight twist of the roof relative to the rest of the body:
There's a lot of filler at the base of the A-pillar:
The door doesn't fit well:
There's quite a bit of filler on the top of the A-pillar, including some lead body filler underneath the plastic fillers:
The car's right side was spliced in. The line down the center of the next photo is actually the butt weld splicing the two pieces together:
Issue #2: Front hood doesn't fit well at the front of the car.
There's a lot of body filler at the front:
Here's the front hood with a gap between the body and the hood lip:
Here's the hood, with no gap between the body and the hood. The gap is actually closed off by body filler.
Here's another view of the hood gap:
Here's the hood and front valance on the car:
Issue #3: Front clip has an excessive amount of body filler.
Here's a picture of the left side, looking at the wiring indent at the bumper. Note the late-model pod infill that probably means this came from the late-model car:
Here's a picture of the wiring indent at the right side. Note the welding and wavy appearance, which isn't reflected on the outside. I think there's 1/4" or more of body filler on the outside:
The next photo shows the indent at the valance, which is filled in with body filler:
Issue #4: Front headlight holes are 1/4" off side-to-side.
The left side fender is from the late-model car and the right side is from #1998. Here are some pictures of the headlight hole locations:
Notice the edge of the trim I'm using as a straightedge:
And the other side:
Note the location of the light pod lift bracket:
And the other side. I know the light bar isn't straight from one side to another; the previous owner added a block between the frame and the light bar mount on the right side.
Issue #5: The wrong outer rocker panel replacementss were used.
This is the best picture I have currently. I have new sheet metal coming from Kirk Evans, which will be the correct part:
Issue #6: Various cracking throughout the body, indicative of too much body filler or stress cracking.
Here are the rest of the pictures:
